Here's how you can improve your holiday sales

Tip of the week 24 - Here's how you can improve your holiday sales

Holiday season, according to the movies, is the most wonderful time of the year. For the rest of the world, yes; but not for us marketers. In fact, this is the most stressful 'season' for us. Halloween, Cyber Mondays, Black Fridays, Diwali, Christmas, New Year... it's a busy time.

For marketers, the struggle is real as people are looking out to buy and you need to ensure that all their needs are met.

Here are different ways in which email marketing can be used to promote 'offers' that will ensure more traffic to your website during the festive season.

Holiday preview sale

You can schedule emails a week before the celebrations begin to give your subscribers a sense of rush. This will lure people to check out your products earlier. Everyone else will have something to sell during the holidays and an early sale will give you the edge.

Holiday templates

Zoho Campaigns has ready-to-use templates especially designed for the holiday season. You can even customise them by adding text boxes and images to meet your design needs. You can use these templates to either wish your customers or introduce your holiday offers.

Holiday coupons

Reward your loyal customers with holiday coupons by surprising them with an unexpected coupon added to a regular newsletter. You can also allow them to share the coupon with friends and family as a gift.

Help with gift ideas

People are always confused about what to gift. Suggest them gifting ideas that will help them make their friends and family feel special. Use call-to action buttons like 'Buy your gift here' and direct them to your website.

Reminders

People tend to forget and you need to remind them of the cool things they are missing out on during this holiday season. Schedule a newsletter just a day before, telling them about the sale and offers.

 What to look forward to

Don't just rest yet. Once the year ends, promote your activities for the upcoming year and you can plan give-aways for those who show interest in your upcoming activities.
